Student Health Insurance

Because of the high cost of health care, it is Cornell University policy that every full-time registered student has adequate health insurance coverage.

The Student Health Plan (SHP) is developed especially for Cornell students and provides comprehensive coverage at a reasonable cost for most on- or off-campus health care. Complete and current details of the SHP, its cost, and population-specific material for international and domestic (U.S.) undergraduates, graduate students, and professional students are available online in May. Undergraduates, graduate students, and professional students each have separate guidelines. Check studenthealthbenefits.cornell.edu in mid-May for complete details.
