CHEM 4040 - Entrepreneurship in Chemical EnterpriseSpring. 1 credit. Letter grades only. B. Ganem. Designed to acquaint students with the problems of planning, starting, and managing a new scientifically oriented business venture, the course consists of six weekly 90-minute meetings focusing on case studies and assigned reading, as well as outside lectures by entrepreneurs in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. Topics include new technology evaluation and assessment, business formation, resource allocation, management development, as well as manufacturing and sales issues. |
