This is a university-wide course that investigates the innovation process, how firms develop innovations, and how to manage change.  Innovation involves taking new knowledge and turning it into new products or services.  How successful an organization is in doing so depends on its ability to change and maintain simultaneously.  Innovative firms are studied via case analyses.  A project gives students hands-on exposure to innovation creation.  Emphasis is placed on examining how businesses and managers can build profitable organizations through a process of creative rethinking, re-evaluating, and discarding existing practices.  The class will operate as a seminar.
