AEM 4210 - Derivatives and Risk Management Spring. 3 credits. S–U or letter grade option.
Prerequisite: AEM 2100 and AEM 3240 or equivalents. Recommended prerequisite: ECON 3130 or equivalent and a calculus course; familiarity with calculus and probability and statistics. Enrollment is limited to: priority given to AEM students.

Covers the pricing of derivatives and how derivatives can be used for the purpose of risk management and speculation. A portion of this course involves the use of spreadsheet or other computer programs.
