AMST 2002 - An Overview of American Studies

Interested about American Studies as a possible major? Already declared as a major but not certain about all the possibilities the program offers? Curious about potential topics and courses for future classes? This course will explore the wide variety of disciplines, perspectives, and understandings at the core of the field of American Studies. Each week, a different faculty member affiliated with the program will discuss their work, their perspective(s), and how their work infuses their teaching. Faculty will come from the arts, social sciences and humanities, and science and society and the presentations will explore the complexities of American social, cultural, and political life. (HI)
