EAS 1400 - [First-Year Writing Seminar: Writing in the Sciences: Environmental Perspectives]

First-Year Writing Seminar in which students examine interactions between humans and the natural environment from individual, societal, and scientific perspectives. Readings include a brief historical survey of humanity’s role within the natural world and short readings about current environmental issues. Includes a research project where each student explores a current environmental issue.
