MUSIC 2102 - Tonal Theory II

Prerequisites: MUSIC 2101 and MUSIC 2103 or equivalent; concurrent enrollment in MUSIC 2104. Intended for students expecting to major in music and other qualified students. A grade of B– or better in MUSIC 2102 is required for admission to music major.

Continued study of voice leading and harmonic progression, including diatonic modulation; analysis of binary and ternary forms as well as jazz, blues, and pop phrase models.
