PE 1110 - Lifeguarding

Fall, spring. 1 credit.

Prerequisite: swimming test consisting of 300 yards, using the front crawl and/or breaststroke, treading water for two minutes without the use of hands, and timed  swim and retrieval of a 10 lb brick from at least 7 feet of water. Course Fee: TBA Three classes per week.


American Red Cross certification course. Practice and execution of lifeguarding first aid and CPR skills and techniques. Certification is awarded in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR/AED upon satisfactory completion of the course.
