Open to upper-level undergraduate students. This course provides an introduction to contemporary Mexican politics, economy, and society. The goals of the course are to give students the essential background and analytical tools for understanding Mexico’s recent history, Mexico’s current and future challenges, the nature of the U.S.-Mexico relationship, and the extent of Mexican
influence in the U.S.
