Dissertation research for Ph.D. candidates in the Graduate Field of Horticulture.
Outcome 1: Students will be able to develop original hypotheses based on a review of the existing literature.
Outcome 2: Students will be able to design experiments that can result in statistically valid hypothesis testing.
Outcome 3: Students will be able to analyze data to measure statistically valid trends and differences among treatments.
Outcome 4: Students will be able to draw conclusions from trends and patterns in the data.
Outcome 5: Students will be able to discuss how conclusions contribute to the body of knowledge on the research topic.
