SYSEN 5200 - Systems Analysis Behavior and Optimization

Prerequisite: MAE 5910/CEE 5240/ECE 5120/ORIE 5140/SYSEN 5100 or permission of instructor. Core course for Systems Engineering majors. Students majoring in Systems Engineering enroll in SYSEN 5200. Students taking the minor in Systems Engineering enroll in MAE 5920 or CEE 5252 or ECE 5130 or ORIE 5142.

This is an advanced course in the application of the systems engineering process to the architecture design and operation of complex systems. Topics include techniques for design, simulation, optimization, and control of complex systems. Case studies and system simulations in diverse areas provide context for the application of these techniques.
