ALS 5900 - Master of Professional Studies Project Development


     
Fall, Spring, Summer. 1-5 credits, variable. Letter grades only.

This course is for CALS Professional Master’s project work.

Staff.

The MPS project is a degree requirement which showcases a student’s knowledge on a particular topic in their field of study. This project may be an action program, the development of a plan to address a pertinent problem, the development of materials or methodology suited to the student’s situation, or the development and execution of research appropriate to the profession. The project is the integration of coursework and skills acquired during the degree program.

Outcome 1: Identify a project topic through synthesizing information.

Outcome 2: Write a research proposal on the project topic.

Outcome 3: Develop a plan for project completion, using project management skills.

Outcome 4: Identify means for analyzing data or literature.

Outcome 5: Analyze data or literature to develop a project report.

Outcome 6: Conduct research in a team environment.

Outcome 7: Demonstrate critical analysis on a particular topic.
