Community Engaged Learning Course Guide

Community-engaged courses take students beyond the classroom, giving them opportunities to link theory and practice through structured learning and research activities designed and implemented in collaboration with real communities—in Ithaca and around the world. These academically rigorous courses advance knowledge within specific fields of study while challenging students to grow as global citizens who practice respect and empathy; seek collaboration, cooperation, and creativity; and embrace differences and diversity.

Cornell offers community-engaged learning courses in many different disciplines, and the list grows each semester. See the list below or search the catalog for community-engaged learning courses by clicking on Course Descriptions , checking the box for “find whole word or phrase only” and entering (CU-CEL) as a Keyword.
