Cornell Botanic Gardens showcases more than 50,000 plants in 150 acres of cultivated gardens and an arboretum, which include world-class collections of herbs, rhododendrons, conifers, maples, and oaks. Cornell Botanic Gardens also stewards 3,400 acres of natural area preserves on the Cornell campus and throughout the region, including the on-campus Fall Creek and Cascadilla Gorges and Beebe Lake. These collections, along with educational programs, support learning opportunities for all ages.  Visit our year-round Brian C. Nevin Welcome Center for visitor information, as well as for gifts and light refreshments.

Cornell Botanic Gardens’ gorges, gardens, and other natural areas around campus and throughout Ithaca are what make Cornell one of the most beautiful university campuses worldwide. Hiking, biking, swimming, and cross-country skiing are just a few ways to Take It Outside and enjoy these beautiful landscapes.  For hiking trails and running routes on campus, visit cornellbotanicgardens.org/trails, and ithacatrails.org.
