Degree Programs


In the College of Architecture, Art and Planning .

At the undergraduate level, the college offers a five-year bachelor of architecture program, a four-year bachelor of fine arts program, a four-year bachelor of science program in urban and regional studies, and a program intended for transfer students leading to a bachelor of science in history of architecture and urban development.

Detailed information including learning outcomes and graduation requirements for each undergraduate degree can be found on the respective department page in this catalog. All AAP undergraduates are obligated to satisfy university and degree-specific graduation requirements. AAP students are all held to college policies, procedures, and graduation requirements in addition to the university and degree-specified graduation requirements.

Graduate-level degree programs are offered in art, architectural design and urban design, architectural science, history of architecture and urban development, historic preservation planning, city and regional planning, and regional science. Professional master’s and delegated graduate degrees (M.Arch., M.F.A. Image Text, M.F.A. Visual Arts, M.R.P., M.S. AAD, and M.S. AUD) are administered by AAP and detailed information regarding these degrees can be found on their respective department pages in this catalog. All other graduate degrees (Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy) are administered by the Graduate School and detailed information can be found in this catalog under the Graduate School  and on the college website at aap.cornell.edu.

All degree programs in AAP are in person unless otherwise noted.
