CHEM 3600 - Honors Organic Chemistry II(PBS-AS, PHS-AS) Fall. 3 credits. Letter grades only. Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will not receive credit for both CHEM 3580 and CHEM 3600. Prerequisite: CHEM 3590 or permission of instructor. Recommended: co-registration in CHEM 3010 -CHEM 3020 . Recommended for students who intend to specialize in chemistry or closely related fields. B. Fors. Rigorous and systematic study of organic chemistry with a focus on molecules that have biological applications. The course emphasizes a mechanistic understanding of organic reactions and applies this knowledge toward complex systems such as amino acids and carbohydrates. |
