ANSC 2570 - Introductory Spanish for Dairy Producers Spring. 3 credits.
Prerequisite: ANSC 2500 or permission of instructor.

Students with a focus on dairy management learn to communicate with the increasingly Spanish-speaking workforce to assure that the knowledge of cutting-edge dairy management and observations from the field are exchanged accurately. This is the first of a sequence of two courses developed to meet these goals.
Outcome 1: Students will understand simple Spanish verb conjugation and usage.
Outcome 2: Students will understand general Spanish grammar.
Outcome 3: Students will build dairy focused vocabulary.
Outcome 4: Students will develop standard operating procedures for common practices on the farm in English and Spanish.
Outcome 5: Students will be a able to communicate on a basic level with Spanish speaking labor force on dairy farms.
