Prerequisite: BIOPL 4831 and BIOPL 4841 , or BIOMG 3300 , BIOMG 3310 -BIOMG 3320 , BIOMG 3330 , or BIOMG 3350 and BIOPL 3420 , or equivalent, or advanced plant science, or permission of instructor. Offered alternate years.

This course explores the physiological responses, sophisticated mechanisms and intricate signaling pathways that plants use to survive in harsh stress environments. Emphasis are placed on how plants deal with drought, flooding, freezing, atmospheric pollution and toxic metals.
