In-depth lecture/discussion of complex topics including crop load effects, canopy management, water relations, vineyard efficiency, and vineyard variability/precision viticulture.

Outcome 1: Learn to address the complex issues of the course with integrative analysis, creativity, and appreciation of the complex interdependency of vine growth and productive processes, environment and management.

Outcome 2: Develop an in-depth understanding of both the underlying principles and cultural practices of a few particularly critical and complex viticultural issues.
