LATIN 1204 - Latin in Review Fall. 4 credits. Letter grades only.
Forbidden Overlap: Students may not receive credit for both LATIN 1202 and LATIN 1204. Prerequisite: placement by departmental examination.
Fall, A. Ruppel; summer, M. Fontaine.
Designed to accommodate students who have had some Latin, but are insufficiently prepared to take LATIN 1202 . It begins with review of some material covered in LATIN 1201 and then continues with second-term Latin material (LATIN 1202 ). The class moves swiftly and includes extensive memorization of vocabulary and paradigms; study of Latin syntax; and written homework, quizzes, tests, and oral drills. For students who receive an A- or higher, the sequence is continued by LATIN 2201 ; those who receive a B+ or lower should continue with LATIN 1205 .
