LING 4420 - [Phonetics II]

A hands-on experimental phonetics course. Students conduct several projects in which phonetics analyses are used to address issues in theories of speech perception, theories of speech production, and phonological theory. The goals of this course are for students to gain experience in formulating research questions and hypotheses, designing and conducting experiments to test those hypotheses, and analyzing phonetic data.
