PAM 2100 - Introduction to Statistics


Spring. 4 credits. Letter grades only.

Enrollment limited to: Human Ecology students.

Introduces students to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and multiple regression. To illustrate these topics, this course examines applications of these methods in studies of child and family policy.

Outcome 1: Increase knowledge of both descriptive and inferential statistics.

Outcome 2: Understand and apply probability theory.

Outcome 3: Ability to conduct hypothesis tests.

Outcome 4: Interpret OLS regression results.
