VTMED 6607 - Poultry Medicine and Production

Fall. 2 credits.

Prerequisite: VTMED 5510. Recommended prerequisite: VTMED 6522. Enrollment limited to: third- and fourth-year veterinary students. Two-week rotation that takes place at University of St. Hyacinthe or University of Guelph in alternating years.

E. Buckles.

Provides an introduction in practical poultry medicine by a combination of lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions including postmortem examinations. Students also visit hatcheries, broiler, layer, and turkey farms.
