This course will study Medieval Iberia as a site for crosscultural exchange. We will look at Iberia in clusters of texts incorporating various disciplines, such as history, economics, law, literature, and architecture. Primary texts in the original Castilian, texts from the Arabic and Hebrew will be read in either Spanish or English translation; secondary texts in English and Spanish.
