Mexico shares a 2,000-mile border with the United States, but few Americans know much about the country beyond the sound bites and images they hear and see in the media. The course will aim to provide students with an overview of Mexican developments in the 20th and early 21st centuries. By the end of this course students will have gained an overall understanding of key historical developments and contemporary challenges facing Mexican politics, economy, and society.
