HE 1120 - The Principles of Effective Learning

Winter. 2 credits.

Permission of department required. Colleges will nominate students. HE 1120 is the first semester of a 2 semester sequence: 2 credits are awarded for HE 1120 in Winter where student receives grade of R; and 1 credit in Spring for HE 1121; At the end of the spring term, student receives a grade that applies to all 3 credits.

Assess and enhance your critical thinking and reading abilities, develop a personal study guide and apply it to a spring semester course. Emphasis is placed on developing and applying analytical and evaluative skills. The format of the course includes lectures, discussions and individual meetings and group work. Registration in and completion of HE 1121 in Spring 2012 is required.
