BIOMI 6992 - Current Research in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography

Fall, spring. 1 credit. S-U grades only.

This course is intended to give graduate students (and upper division undergraduate) marine biology students critical skills in reading and review of recent literature, and in presentation of literature to other students.

Outcome 1: Be able to read and understand scientific literature focused on biological oceanography and marine biology.

Outcome 2: Be able to follow scientific logic leading to conclusions presented in literature.

Outcome 3: Be able to understand limitations of research presented and communicate criticism appropriately.
