CHEME 6300 - Deconstructing Biomolecular Engineering Research Spring. 3 credits.
Permission of instructor required. Enrollment limited to: graduate or senior standing.
M. P. DeLisa.
Covers the basics of how molecular-level knowledge of biological phenomena is converted into transformative chemical products and processes that are derived from living cells or their components. Focus on “research deconstruction” whereby current, cutting-edge research, presented in the form of high-level research seminars, is critically analyzed and openly discussed. A team research project that stresses interdisciplinary communication and problem solving is required.
