HD 6770 - Quantitative Methods 3

Prerequisite: At least 2 courses of graduate statistics. Permission of instructor required.

This course covers advanced, multivariate quantitative methods relevant for graduate students in Human Development and Psychology. Topics include non-parametric methods, factor analysis, propensity score matching, instrumental variable estimation, casual DAGs, regression-discontinuity analysis, and mediation analysis.

Outcome 1: Students will greatly increase their proficiency to write statistical code in R and SPSS.

Outcome 2: Students will be able to formulate casual assumptions and claims using modern casual inference theories.

Outcome 3: Students will confidentially write up results of complex statistical analyses.
