NBA 5440 - Advanced Data Analysis

Fall. 1.5 credits.

D. Juran.

An applied managerial analytics course designed to build quantitative skills for describing, predicting, and improving business performance. The course is not primarily concerned with computer science and information technology topics, but rather focuses on practical hands-on application of statistics and management science, with an emphasis on cause-effect relationships and actionable managerial implications.  Tools applied in this course include regression analysis (with extensions to the basic linear model such as nonlinear and logistic regression), design of experiments, some multivariate models and time series forecasting. The primary deliverable is a term project of the student’s choosing.
