This course explores Eastern European cinema. Students will watch and discuss exciting, major Eastern European works from the last two decades-from award winning films to less known ones. In this class, students will explore the social and historical background of Eastern European issues represented in the films. Finally, students will master important terms and concepts of film making and criticism. All films are subtitled and readings are in English.
