FREN 2180 - Advanced French

Satisfies Option 1.

Fall, spring. 4 credits. Letter grades only.

Forbidden Overlap: Students may not get credit for FREN 2180 if they have previously taken French 3010, 3050, or 3130.
Prerequisite: FREN 2095 or CASE Q++. FREN 2310 may be taken concurrently with FREN 2180.

This course provides students with the opportunity to increase their proficiency in oral and written French through one of three possible avenues: Composition and Conversation; French through Film; and French through the News. Students will write frequent short papers, give oral presentations, and participate actively in the discussion of cultural content from the Francophone world.
