This introductory course follows the history of Asia-Pacific from the nineteenth century to the present, focusing on the relations of China, India, Japan, South, and Southeast Asia. This course is intended for students wanting a broad historical overview of what makes Asia distinctive and important in the global economy and in world politics. (HNU)
