MGMT 5090 - Strategy

V. Kadiyali.

We will use economics-based theories of markets and firms to understand business strategy.  We will cover various aspects of business strategy- understanding your industry landscape, how you fit in it and how you can change it to your advantage. The purpose of the course is three-fold.  First, you will learn a variety of tools and frameworks.  Second, you will have opportunities to discuss business strategies of companies today. Third, you will hone your ability to think on your feet about complex situations and with limited information. We will achieve our course goals through a combination of reading, lecture and most importantly class discussions.
