MATH 4220 - Applied Complex Analysis


(MQR-AS, SMR-AS)      
Fall. 4 credits. Student option grading.

Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will not receive credit for both MATH 4180  and MATH 4220.
Prerequisite: MATH 2210 -MATH 2220 , MATH 2230 -MATH 2240 , MATH 1920  and MATH 2940 , or MATH 2130  and MATH 2310 . Students will be expected to be comfortable with proofs. Undergraduates who plan to attend graduate school in mathematics should take MATH 4180  instead of 4220.

Staff.

Covers complex variables, Fourier transforms, Laplace transforms and applications to partial differential equations. Additional topics may include an introduction to generalized functions.
