Designed for non-art majors, the course introduces the medium of sculpture through individual and collaborative projects that explore a spectrum of traditional and non-traditional materials, techniques, and work methods. One of the primary goals of the course is the effective expression of ideas. Slide-lectures and discussions focused on global contemporary and historical sculpture take place on weekly basis. The course challenges students to consider the ever-changing medium broadly and through a critical-interdisciplinary lens.
