Designed for students in the second summer session of their MFA experience. The open discussion and work structure of the class is oriented towards focusing and refining thesis ideas, structure and content, and planning second-year work on thesis projects through individual and group work sessions and critiques.

Outcome 1: In this course, students will develop the ability to refine and strengthen formal, technical and conceptual elements of creative work.

Outcome 2: In this course, students will develop new ideas and directions towards the evolution of the MFA thesis project.

Outcome 3: In this course, students will develop the ability to articulate ideas and intentions of creative work, and to situate it within relevant discourses and practices.
