Prerequisite: HD 5750 or PSYCH 5750 .
F. Thoemmes.
This second part of the graduate statistics sequence is intended to teach more advanced techniques of modern quantitative data analysis, with a focus on the analysis of non-randomized studies. We will cover a variety of models, including models with linear and non-linear effects, model with random effects, and models for limited dependent variables.
Outcome 1: You will deepen your proficiency in R to achieve more advanced data-analytic tasks.
Outcome 2: You will be able to understand results from a variety of models, including the general linear model, the generalized linear model, and the generalized mixed model.
Outcome 3: You will be able to identify core assumptions of the general linear model and probe them accordingly.
