Hotel Real Estate Investment Management Certificate

In eCornell Certificate Programs

Good hotel real estate deals create win-win situations. To build well-structured agreements, you need to understand what is motivating the property owners, operators, and lenders. Yet successful hospitality and real estate management doesn’t end with a successful deal; it requires effectively managing the agreement’s execution to achieve strategic asset goals.

This on-campus immersion program at Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York, provides you with the knowledge needed to understand the financial and operational aspects of hotel asset and real estate investment management. Updated to reflect the experience and realities of the COVID pandemic, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about valuation and explore financing, equity structuring, exit strategies, and current best practices in hotel management agreements and hotel leases.

You’ll discuss and develop a superior hotel real estate management and execution plan. You’ll gain experience using concrete tools to explore scenarios from holding/maintaining, renovating, expanding, or otherwise altering individual assets to maximize value and enhance the contribution that real estate brings to a mixed-asset portfolio. Ultimately, you’ll walk away with new skills, new best practices, and a powerful network of international colleagues.

This certificate program is part of the Anheuser-Busch Professional Development Program (PDP) at Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration. First launched in 1928, this world-renowned executive program has welcomed hospitality professionals from around the globe for over 90 years.
