In SC Johnson College of Business
The International Markets and Development Minor is built on Cornell’s long tradition of research on global markets and the development of emerging economies, as well as engagement with global research partners, and organizations. The curriculum brings faculty and students together to study and address pressing questions facing emerging economies. The minor is distinctive in that the curriculum reflects an emphasis on international experience, as well as opportunities to participate in research projects with faculty. This minor is ideal for students interested in a career in global business, consulting, advanced research and development of emerging markets.
Eligibility
All Cornell undergraduates except students enrolled in Dyson. Students are eligible to sign up for the minor as early as their first year and no later than their sixth semester.
Academic Policies
A minimum of 12 unique credits (outside of major’s core discipline) must be taken to complete any/all minors. Some majors may be required to take an additional course to satisfy this requirement. Students may not use course codes from their home college/major to satisfy minor requirements unless noted as an approved overlap (ex. ECON 1110). All courses must be taken for a letter grade, and a grade of C or better is required.
Required Credits
This minor requires a total of 18 credits to complete, which includes 6 foundation credits and 12 core credits.
