Program Description
The minor in translational research prepares you with knowledge and skills to use research to improve people’s lives through interventions, practices, and policies while also integrating knowledge from communities and practice settings to inform research. You'll apply translational research skills and approaches in your respective courses of study. The minor prepares you for social impact across careers that include STEM and medicine, public health, social sciences, law and public policy.
Students in any major from any college are eligible to minor in Translational Research.

Academic Standards
Grade Requirements
Each course must be completed with a grade of C- or better to count toward the minor. If a course is offered only S-U, a grade of S is acceptable but must not exceed a total of 3 credits toward the credit requirement for the minor.
Minor Declaration Information
Intention to Minor in Translational Research Form: Students should submit the Intention to Minor in Translational Research form after successfully completing one of the core courses. This form must be completed by add/drop of their final semester.
Application to Graduate With a Minor in Translational Research Form: During the semester in which the student plans to graduate, the student must submit a completed copy of this form. The deadline for May graduates is March 15; the deadline for December graduates is October 15. The current version of requirements will be used to evaluate the completion of the minor. If a student has submitted the Intent to Minor in Translational Research form, they can request to use the earlier version of requirements in effect at the time they submitted the form. After verification that all requirements for the minor were completed, the student’s college registrar will be notified, and their final transcript will indicate that they earned a minor in Translational Research.
