Cornell’s Adult University: Education Vacations

Cornell’s Adult University (CAU) offers weeklong noncredit courses on campus in the summer for adults and families. During the fall, winter, and spring, CAU offers weekend seminars and longer domestic programs as well as international study tours. Developed and led by distinguished members of the Cornell faculty, all programs are inspired by the conviction that one of the roles of a great university is to provide a bridge between traditional formal education and informal, noncredit study. For information, visit cau.cornell.edu, e-mail cauinfo@cornell.edu, call (607) 255-6260, or write to Cornell’s Adult University, B20 Day Hall, Ithaca, NY 14853.

Cornell’s Adult University: Youth and Teen Academic Camps

Cornell CAU offers four one-week summer camps for youth ages 4–15 between July 5 and August 1, 2020. These academic programs held on campus give children and teens a taste of life at Cornell while enjoying the fun and friendships of a traditional camp. Youth and teens are supervised by caring, well-trained counselors as they enjoy a wide range of entertaining and educational courses, stimulating field trips, meals from Cornell’s top-ranked dining program, and opportunities to meet other campers from around the world. Residential and day camp options are available. For information, visit sce.cornell.edu/youth, e-mail cauinfo@cornell.edu, call (607) 255-6260, or write to Cornell’s Adult University, B20 Day Hall, Ithaca, NY 14853.

English for Non-native Speakers

English for International Students and Scholars (EISS), offered during Summer Session as well as during the spring and fall semesters, is a course for visiting scholars and others seeking improvement in basic English-language skills, with special emphasis on proficiency in spoken English. These courses are taught by Cornell faculty and distinguished leaders in many fields and provide opportunities to hone skills, increase effectiveness, stay abreast of changes in the work world, and network with colleagues. Programs also can be designed to respond to the specific needs and interests of corporations, professional societies, and other groups.
