A survey of selected topics in paleoenvironmental analysis and reconstruction, with emphasis on how they inform interpretations of the archaeological record. The course ranges broadly from a general consideration of human ecology and the role of environment in culture change to detailed study of specific techniques and approaches. (Comparative Survey)
