BIOMG 2810 - Genetics and Genomics Fall, spring, summer (Eight-week session). 5 credits.
Recommended prerequisite: BIOG 1500 . Not open to freshmen fall semester. Biological sciences majors must take course for a letter grade. Lab signups done in first lec. Problem-solving sessions are strongly recommended.

General introduction to the fundamental principles of genetics in eukaryotes and bacteria . Topics include gene transmission, linkage, recombination, structure, mutations, and manipulation, as well as analysis of genomes in individuals and populations.
