Writing-intensive advanced course for upper-division students interested in Darwinian Medicine. Lectures, discussions, and student presentations examine topics including adaptation, intra-genomic conflict, evolution of infectious disease, genetic diseases, virulence, sexuality, MHC, auto-immunity, stress, diet and disease, allergy, fetal programming, morning sickness, lactose intolerance, depression and other mental illness, cancer, menopause, and senescence.
