Forbidden Overlap: Students may not receive credit for both FREN 2060 and FREN 2090. Prerequisite: FREN 1230, LPF score 56–64, or SAT II 600–680. Conducted in French. Recommended courses after FREN 2060: FREN 2100, FREN 2190, or FREN 2210.

Emphasis is placed on grammar review and expansion, vocabulary development, and appreciation of different styles of language. Diverse text types are used, including a contemporary novel and student-selected material.
