FREN 2210 - Reading, Looking, Thinking: Introduction to Interpretation (LA-AS) Satisfies Option 1. Fall, spring. 4 credits.
Prerequisite: FREN 2060 or FREN 2090 or CASE Q+. Conducted in French. FREN 2210 may be taken concurrently with FREN 2190 . Recommended courses after FREN 2210, and 3000 level French course.

Designed to introduce students to methods of textual analysis, through reading and discussion of works in various genres (narrative prose, drama, poetry) from the French and Francophone world, this course emphasizes the development of analytical skills, in particular close readings by a variety of authors from different periods.
