ITAL 1220 - Elementary Italian

Spring. 4 credits.

Prerequisites: ITAL 1210 or LPI score of 37-44 or SAT II 370-450. At the end of ITAL 1220, students who score lower than 56 on the LPI take ITAL 1230; those with 56 or higher may enter the 2000-level sequence.

This introductory course provides a thorough grounding in all the language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with practice in small groups. Lectures cover grammar and cultural information.
