Recommended prerequisite: some experience with audio/video recording or editing. Permission of instructor required.

Basics of digital audio, psychoacoustics, and sound design as they apply to theatre, film, and music production. Weekly projects require time spent in the studio outside of class. Students create soundtracks for text and moving image, with final projects in 5.1 surround sound, using Pro Tools and Digital Performer. (DE)
