MAE 5240 - Physics of Micro and Nanoscale Fluid Mechanics Fall. 3 credits.
Prerequisite: undergraduate fluid or continuum mechanics (e.g., MAE 3230 ) or permission of instructor. Co-meets with MAE 6240 .

Introduction to fluid mechanics in micro- and nanofabricated devices. Physicochemical hydrodynamics, electrokinetic effects, capillarity, continuum breakdown, micro- and nanofluidic applications in chemistry and life sciences.
